Mortimer Community College is a co-education new build scheme for 11-16 year olds, with a specialism in sports and the arts and is located within South Shields Tyne and Wear. The new build scheme was provided under the STaG BSF programme by Carillion. British Thornton providing all fixed and loose furniture and equipment under the main contract. The buildings design incorporates a central street space that is furnished with furniture and technology. The adjoining classbases are vibrant and flexible learning spaces, allowing the building to be adaptable to technological advancements.
