Bradfield School

British Thornton supported Vinci Construction with the rebuild of Bradfield School in Sheffield. The £22M project involved the construction of a new high school to replace the existing school on a site adjacent to the old school building. Bradfield is a leading STe³M School with teaching and learning based around Science, Technology, Engineering, (Enterprise, Environment) and Mathematics and achieved Academy status in December 2012.

HLM Architects, Sheffield designed the new school and prepared the furniture layouts throughout the building. British Thornton’s design experts worked from the architects’ drawings to specify and design both the fixed and loose furniture for all areas throughout the school. The team also engaged with the client to ensure that the furniture not only meets the requirements of the school but also realises the design aspirations of the new building to create a modern facility conducive to learning.

Supply, delivery and installation of the complete furniture package was project managed by British Thornton’s experienced team, working closely with the main contractor.
