Trinity Academy Halifax

Main Contractor - Carillion
Architects - Ryder Architects
Scope - Fixed and Loose furniture

British Thornton were employed by the main contractor, Carillion, to design and plan the full furniture package for Trinity Academy. Working closely with Carillion, Ryder architects and the school, the British Thornton team designed and planned the fitted and loose furniture for all areas of the school. The projects was one of the first to embrace British Thorntons 3D drawing capabilities with the entire project being drawn in Revit for full BIM integration. Manufacture, supply, delivery and installation of the furniture and equipment was project managed throughout by British Thornton.

"A key part of the success of the project was the technical support provided by BT. The in depth knowledge of their products and their understanding approach to the complexity of some of the spaces in the build ensured the solutions were well planned and perfectly designed for the environment. The BT design team were open and flexible to the needs of the academy and continually supplied feedback, this feedback supported the academy in its choices and ultimately delivered a superb environment for students to learn in.

The vast range of quality products from bespoke pieces to their catalogue range have proved to be of a very high quality and not only appreciated, but loved by both students and staff. The furniture looks as crisp today as the day it was installed".
