British Thornton ESF Limited is a subsidiary of the Thornton EME Group Limited, which is owned and managed by Gary Wilks, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Stuart Little, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of British Thornton ESF Limited. The group also includes Educational & Municipal Equipment Limited based in Dumfriesshire that trade as EME Furniture Limited.

In 2005, the company expanded to a 4.7-acre freehold site in Keighley, West Yorkshire, comprising its headquarters and an 110,000 sq ft manufacturing complex. The £3m investment in our premises, plus a further £2m in new machinery, has enabled the business to continue to grow and now employs 180 staff. Investing significant sums of money in state-of-the-art machinery has improved efficiency and made the company more environmentally friendly.
