Did you attend the Academies Show Birmingham last week? The bi-annual event, held this time at the NEC, has always been a fantastic opportunity for those that work within the education sector to get together, find out what’s going on in the industry and look for some classroom inspiration!

A busy British Thornton stand at the Academies Show

British Thornton’s stand was a double-sided affair; secondary school furniture on one side and the ever-popular, colourful trudy primary range on the other. The team were on hand to help teachers, business managers and a whole range of staff discuss their requirements and any challenges they currently face with their classroom design.

The show was also a fantastic opportunity for visitors to take a sneak peek at the upcoming trudy nursery range, launching in early 2017. The new, minimal-colour furniture encourages children to explore and develop through imaginative play and interaction and has a unique antibacterial coating to prevent germs in a busy nursery environment. You can find out a little more about trudy nursery by watching the Office trudy testers video.
